Jacquard Lumiere Acrylics

The other day I ordered a few art supplies and am totally loving the Jacquard Lumiere Metallic Acrylics!  I’m not kidding when I say that I have the desire to try this paint out on every surface in my home!  The iridescent acrylics are really reflective and the colors are so gorgeous!  The paints are supposed to work on just about any surface, and as a textile artist and painter, I’m seeing a lot of potential for these paints.  These light body acrylics hold brush strokes to some extent, so when using them be sure to smooth out the paint to get a solid wash of color without peaks.  I was a little disappointed with the size of jars for the price, however the paints are so quality that I think they are worth the money.  I’ve tried other iridescent paints before and these are the best so far.  And with all of the uses for the paints, I can see them coming in handy for all sorts of art and craft projects.

Starlight

This painting, called Starlight, is a canvas redo that I finished earlier today.  The copper, gold, green and bronze tones are all Jacquard Lumiere Acrylics.  The pops of iridescent tones over glossy acrylic paint look surreal, and when light hits the painting it totally glows.
